From Ukraine to Mexico: A New Flow of Weapons Threatens the Country
While Mexico continues to criticize the U.S. for its inaction in preventing the north-to-south illegal arms flow—many of which end up in the hands of organized crime—Ukraine is opening a new front.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas— In the video, a man dressed in military green sits at a pristine white desk, with green, white, and red lighting in the background. He introduces an innovative weapons development for law enforcement.
The man speaks in Ukrainian; however, the person who sent the video to Mexicans used artificial intelligence to dub his words into Latin American Spanish.
"The video highlights the tactical, logistical, and practical benefits of these firearms," the man on screen announces. This is followed by a montage showing a plastic handgun with multiple barrels.
This is just one of the weapons the Ukrainian government is seeking to sell to Mexico through intermediaries.
